Continued Business Justification
Adaptive lifecycles are more or less different in the way they handle the justification of the project. They need to be justifiable like a predictive project, but:
- Forecasting the justification is harder because the product is not fully specified upfront.
- Tracking the justification is easier because of the Frequent Releases.
Stakeholders in predictive projects are sometimes so focused on the product that forget about its expected outcomes and justification. This risk is automatically mitigated, to some extent, in Agile because the product is not clear, and everyone has to shift focus to the business value.
